N2 - An analysis of the influence of temperature and strain rate on Forming Limit Stress Curve has been presented, which is based on the conservation of energy during plastic deformation. It has been found that Hill's elliptical stress locus can be developed as a rectilinear stress locus due to a progressive variation of process variables, such as temperature and strain rate, which also induce variation in the material properties. © 1994.
