Abstract
Additively manufactured 15-5 PH stainless steels containing reversed nano-scale austenite dispersed in martensitic matrix exhibit improved strength-ductility combination and fatigue resistance. The underlying mechanisms responsible for these improvements are the crack closure effect caused by transformation-induced volume expansion and the transformation-induced plasticity effect.
