Abstract

Suspended particulate in the atmosphere may be detected by the Landsat sensors due to scattered radiation. This particulate may be present as a diffuse haze or as distinct plumes from point sources. It is possible to study plume structure for information about pollutant dispersal from the analysis of computer compatible tapes.
