RELIABILITY COST IN SOFTWARE LIFE-CYCLE MODELS.

Research output: Journal Publications and ReviewsRGC 22 - Publication in policy or professional journal

Abstract

The investigation of tradeoffs among reliability, schedule, resources, and costs in hardware development is of interest in software development. Although a functional relationship exists between software life-cycle cost and software reliability, the parameters associated with such a relationship are not readily available. An overview of several software cost models that include reliability specification is provided. The life-cycle approach to software cost issues is emphasized.
