Abstract
Relentless Melt No. 6 presents contemporary experimental moving image and independent animation made in Hong Kong and by Hongkongers. The programme offers an insight into the Hong Kong state of mind through atmospheric meditations, strange sexual encounters and music-driven, synaesthetic abstractions. Featured filmmakers include Hong Kong’s animation enfant terrible Wong Ping, Berlin-based contemporary artist Carla Chan, and emerging Chinese digital art duo Pink Money. Official music videos for Isan and Lux Prima round off the selection.
The screening will be introduced by its curator, German media artist Max Hattler who is an Assistant Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, and special guest Antony Ryan from Isan.
