Abstract
The purpose of this note is to develop new relations between the block relative gain and condition number that improve upon previously available result. We establish quantititive connections that relate condition number with the maximum singular value, and the minimal condition number with the structured singular value of the block relative gain. These results are useful in clarifying the role of block relative gain as a measure of potential design difficulties associated with a certain class of plants. © 1992 IEEE
