Abstract

The regression control chart, which integrates regression analysis and control chart theory, has proved useful in various fields of application in the last few years. The basic idea of the regression control chart is to monitor the process output after it has been adjusted for the effect of the external covariate(s). This paper provides an overall review of regression control techniques. The formulation of the regression control chart is presented, and its computation is illustrated. Some remarks on future issues are also made.
