Abstract
A rapid design approach to achieve the optimal effi ciency in a mag netic resonant wireless power transfer (MR-WPT) system is presented. A concise design guidel ine is provided to determine th e optimal effi-ciency condition and related coupling coeffi cients. Experimental validations are demonstrated by both simulation and measu rement results of a 6.78 MHz MR-WPT system prototype with the maximum effi-ciency of 76.1% at a 50 mm distance between transmitter and receiver. © 2016 The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
