Abstract

Encountering the keen competitions from the newly industrialized countries in Asia and Eastern Europe, quality has become a crucial factor for Hong Kong manufacturing industries to maintain their competitiveness in the global market. This paper aims to present an overview of the prevailing quality management practice and initiatives in Hong Kong. It also tries to indicate the quality management strategies would be adopted in Hong Kong towards 2000.
