Abstract

In this paper, a wideband compact circularly-polarized (CP) patch antenna for 5G WiFi applications is proposed. This patch antenna is excited by a 3D meandering probe (M-probe) which is integrated in multi-layered substrates. The proposed antenna is wide in both impedance and axial ratio (AR) bandwidths, which respectively are 31.93% (for reflection coefficient < -10 dB) and 23.81% (for AR < 3 dB). The average gain within the overlapped bandwidth is 4 dBic.
