Abstract
Consumers are increasingly using crowdfunding sites to conduct investment activities on specific reward-based crowdfunding projects. Despite plenty of studies have explored why individuals decide to invest from the technological/contextual factors – performance perspective, few has reported the cognitive-emotion process of reward-based crowdfunding behaviors. Drawing on stimuli–organism–response (S–O–R) frameworks, this study aims to identity the mediating effect of perceived irreplaceability between reward-based crowdfunding characteristics (e.g., project personalization, project agent effectiveness, and herding effect) and consumers’ investment behavior.
