Abstract
This paper investigates the multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems with preference information on alternatives. A new approach is proposed to solve the MADM problems, where multiple decision makers give their preference information on alternatives in different formats. To reflect decision makers' preference information, an optimization model is constructed to assess attribute weights and then to rank the alternatives or select the most desirable one. Finally, an example is used to illustrate the proposed approach.
