Abstract
A new three-dimensional continuous autonomous chaotic system was presented. The autonomous chaotic system generated a 2- and 4-scroll chaotic attractor in simulation. It was found that a good qualitative agreement existed between the numerical simulation and the experimental measurement. Some guidelines for the use of the generic form of a simple system to purposefully generate chaos were also discussed.
