Abstract
A terahertz (THz) meta-lens with circularly-polarized (CP) radiation is proposed in this paper. The meta-lens is composed of four metallic layers and the transmission phases with different polarized incident waves can be manipulated by different parts of the element, respectively. Therefore, an additional phase difference of π/2 can be easily introduced between the transmitted phases of the two orthogonal polarizations, leading to a CP meta-lens. The simulation results of the proposed meta-lens show that a gain of 26.3 dBi and an axial ratio of 1.8 dB are achieved at 0.3 THz. The structure of the meta-lens is quite simple and can be fabricated by standard printed-circuit-board (PCB) technology. The proposed CP meta-lens provides a low-cost antenna solution for the application of satellite-to-satellite link.
