Abstract
An oversize microstrip patch antenna using multifeed has been proposed. By employing 1-to-8 in phase power divider, the antenna has been excited using edge feeds and resonates at fundamental mode. The proposed patch antenna is designed for high antenna gain of 10.9 dBi at 5.8 GHz. The occupancy area of proposed antenna is 34% smaller than that of conventional 8-element microstrip patch antenna array. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
