Abstract
Discontinuous Reinforced Composites generally show low elastic limits which results in large difficulty in determining the elastic modulus. However, a simple and convenient method to overcome the difficulty is by conducting intermittent unloading tests during a conventional tensile test and by measuring the modulus from the unloading curve. It is demonstrated that the measurements are very consistent and insensitive to the unloading strain. © 1984.
