Abstract
This paper develops a dynamic geographic concentration model by analyzing the founding and death of firms. In each stage of industry life cycle, we examine geographic concentration from both the economic rationale which focuses on economic gains from geographic proximity and the sociological rationale which highlights heterogeneous entrepreneurial opportunities.
