Abstract
A novel, horizontally polarized, conical-beam antenna is proposed. The antenna is low in profile (H = 0.1867λo) and has about 38% impedance bandwidth (SWR <2) and average antenna gain of 5 dBi. The radiation patterns are stable across the operating band. Good agreement between simulated and measured results is observed.
