Abstract

This paper presents a simple technique to improve the radiation characteristics of L-probe fed patch antenna. By loading layers of dielectric material properly, the size of the patch can be minimized to about 0.24λ0 × 0.24λ0, with improvement in cross polarization level and front-to-back ratio. The wideband characteristic can also be maintained.

Research Area(s)

  • inverted L-wire, L probe, low cross polarization level, patch antenna
