Abstract
There has been an increasing interest in developing advanced 3D and video technologiestowards ambient intelligence. For setting up such environment, several issues need to beaddressed: 1) management of multimedia resources, 2) scene modeling, 3) peopleidentification and 4) specialized hardware and application. In this paper, we will presentour work on applying motion capture technology for performance training. This is aspecialized ambient intelligent application for artists or amateurs. With our system, learning art performance is no longer restricted in a master-apprentice manner. People canundergo performance training in a ubiquitous way. User studies have shown that peopleare satisfied with our system in various aspects.
