Abstract

This paper proposes a 3D printed dielectric lens antenna for 60 GHz application with wide impedance bandwidth and stable gain performance. The dielectric lens is composed of subwavelength metamaterials which can exhibit 360-degree phase and low insertion loss. By employing the ME dipole antenna as the feeding source, the proposed antenna can realize impedance bandwidth (reflection coefficient < -15 dB) of 35% (50.5-72 GHz). Moreover, the gains of the antenna are ranging from 18 dBi to 21 dBi within the operating bandwidth, which indicates that the proposed antenna exhibits stable gain characteristic.
