Abstract

Despite decades of research and development in knowledge management, there still exists a serious knowledge acquisition bottleneck. Neither traditional Artificial Intelligence (Al) based approaches, nor the more recent less formal knowledge management techniques have been able to overcome the knowledge acquisition challenges. This article investigates knowledge acquisition bottlenecks and proposes the use of collaborative knowledge management with wikis to overcome them.
