Abstract
A magnetoelectric (ME) dipole antenna fed by dual complementary sources (DCS) for wideband application is presented in this paper. By applying DCS as feeding sources to the ME dipole antenna design, lower profile of 0.18 λ0, where λ0 is the wavelength of the center frequency of 3.3 GHz, can be achieved. The simulated results are carried out in this paper. It is shown that the characteristics of original ME dipole antennas, such as broadband, high front-to-back ratio and low cross-polarization levels, can also be remained. It makes the proposed antennas regarded as one of the potential candidates for various wireless communications.
