Abstract

This paper presents a normalized demapping method with application to the Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting (DTMB) system. Normalized Logarithm Likelihood Ratio (NLLR) soft information is computed using this new method in which a normalization factor is proposed. Two ways of determining this factor are illustrated and simulation results show that it performs well with comparison to other factors under 16QAM constellation in Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and fading channels respectively. © 2008 IEEE.
