Abstract

The data confidentiality of the short command applications, like control system, is especially important for evade the eavesdropping and masquerading of intruders. In this paper, we propose the mechanism to provide the access control and data confidential services in the network protocol in order to provide a robust security protection fulfilling the characteristics of applications. The access control service is accomplished by the Challenge/Response Authentication with the keyed hash function, and the data confidential service is achieved by an approximated onetime pad encryption scheme as to provide perfect security. The operation of the proposed mechanism is simple and can be applied to most of the short command delivery network. © IEEE.
