In particular, for perishable products, cooperation can greatly reduce costs of supplier, producer and retailer. By considering cooperation in a three-echelon supply chain, an integrated production-inventory model for perishable products in supply chain is developed. A cost sharing mechanism is introduced to ensure equitable and fair distribution of benefits of integration. © 2009 IEEE.
