Abstract

A printed pellet-shape microstripfed monopolar antenna is proposed for portable UWB devices. An impedance bandwidth of 138.3% within the frequency range of 3.1 -17 GHz for S11 <-10 dB is achieved. Positive gain and constant group delay are obtained with omnidirectional radiation pattern. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
