Abstract
The principles of differential thermal analysis (DTA) were outlined for the determination of phase transformation temperatures of metal-alloy systems which can be used to establish hot working temperature ranges. A special DTA procedure was developed ensuring a comtamination-free environment in the system and producing virtually noiseless test results for zirconium and its alloys. (H.C.B.)
