Power-over-fiber using an optically injected semiconductor laser in chaotic dynamics

Research output: Journal Publications and ReviewsRGC 22 - Publication in policy or professional journal

Abstract

Chaotic signal from an optically injected semiconductor laser is applied for power-over-fiber delivery. Stimulated Brillouin scattering is effectively suppressed by the broadband chaos such that transmission of 838-mW through a 5-km single-mode fiber is demonstrated. © 2010 OSA /FiO/LS 2010.
