Abstract
Backscatter communication is an ultra-low-power consumption technique that leverages ambient signals to transmit data. However, existing Bluetooth backscatter systems can not adapt to the differences in excitors, resulting in unstable performance. We present BidScatter, which uses the envelope of the excitation packet to identify the excitor and then modulates data accordingly. Specifically, BidScatter achieves an average of 85% identification accuracy among the five chosen devices. Based on this identification accuracy, BidScatter can achieve over 50% more packet reception rate than RBLE.
