A self-portrait of yesterday, produced for the Home and Nonhome project, it is a practice of memory of contemplation. The artist searched in vain for the only self-portrait he drew before he departed for Italy to study. He clearly remembered the moment when he was drawing it and wondered if he could re-create it —— a portrait of a young man.
