Abstract

We report long-period gratings fabricated in various polymer waveguide structures by using the UV-irradiation and the etching techniques. These gratings can be tuned thermally over a wide wavelength range. Achievement of polarization insensitivity is highlighted. © 2003 Optical Society of America.
