Abstract
A single-fed circular patch antenna design with feasibility of reconfiguring its polarization at the same frequency is proposed. Four different polarizations can be excited by controlling the states of the switches mounted over a concentric circular slot etched on the patch. The proposed design has a simple structure that is only composed of a probe-fed slotted circular patch, PIN diode switches and a ground plane. A prototype operated at 2.4GHz band was fabricated to demonstrate the feasibility of the design.
