Abstract
In this paper, I argue that games occupy a difficult position within media mixes. Apart from being part of cross-media content, having their textual output weighed and measured within a larger textual ecosphere, game-specific constraints tax players heavily. Not only are players made to learn constraints which are unique to games, they are also invited to become constraints within the text themselves.
