Abstract
An asymmetric indenone-fused tetraazatetracene based bent N-heteroarene is designed and synthesized. Its photophysical and electrochemical properties together with the packing structure are studied, and its charge transport properties in organic field-effect transistors are investigated. Structure–property relationships are illustrated through comparison with other reported asymmetric N-heteroarenes. © 2025 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
