Abstract
In the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis, the growing presence of the Pacific Rim economies coupled with the related evolution of the international monetary architecture has raised a wide range of economic issues, including the adjustment of monetary regimes, the effectiveness of monetary, fiscal, reserves, and exchange rate polices, economic linkages, and the continued debate on international competitiveness comparison.

This volume provides the refereed proceedings of the keynote address and seven selected papers presented in the conference, which dealt with economic issues related to the Pacific Rim economies and the evolving international monetary arrangement. The main insights of these papers are outlined as below.
