Abstract

To obtain the high color-stability and high-efficiency white phosphorescent organic light-emitting diode (PHOLED), the insertion of hole-buffer layer and the location of orange-red dopant doped in the blue emissive were adjusted. Moreover, the effects of triplet exciton confinement, hole trapping, and carrier balance on white PHOLEDs will be also presented. By optimizing the device parameters and attaching an outcoupling enhancement film onto substrate, the white device with a maximum yield of 39.5 cd/A, a power efficiency of 25.6 lm/W, and CIE coordinate of (0.40, 0.39) can be achieved.
