This chapter investigates how to optimise the use of machine translation systems. It discusses the differences and features of genres as well as the corresponding preferred translation principles. The chapter focuses on discussing the various approaches employed in machine translation systems. It examines the feasibility of using machine translation systems for free translation. This is followed by suggesting aids or extra measures to be used or incorporated to facilitate better performance in using machine translation systems. The actual data relatedness and closeness are then more crucial in determining what strategies have to be taken in doing the corresponding computer translation. The chapter also focuses on investigating the feasibility in applying extra measures to improve the usability of the translation generated and to optimise the use of the systems.
