Abstract
In this paper, we treat the analysis and optimization of interleave-division-multiplexing (IDM) MISO systems with partial CSI at the transmitters. In IDM-MISO systems, iterative receivers are employed to achieve parallel cancellation of the cross-antenna interference. We propose a general methodology to evaluate the performance of practical IDM-MISO systems. Specifically, an iterative approach is proposed to fast predict the output SNR of IDM detectors; the methods are developed to analyze the output of the repetition decoder and the LDPC decoder for uncoded and coded systems, respectively. Based on the above approaches, the optimal transmit strategy, i.e., the optimal power set, can be achieved for IDM-MISO systems. The proposed approaches are verified by extensive simulations. © 2006 IEEE.
