Abstract

In this research, the fracture of polycarbonate (PC) films using the trousers specimen has been investigated. From the development of the plastic zone in the torn ligaments, a work partitioning scheme based on the essential work of fracture (EWF) method has been developed to evaluate the fracture toughness of the PC films. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
