Abstract

We review recent work using integrated and fibered platforms for advanced optical processing. We show that machine learning in photonics systems can be leveraged to generate custom optical wave-packets relevant for targeted applications and further discuss the extension of this approach within multimode fibers. © 2023 IEEE.
