Abstract
In this paper we discuss the use of the Tau-Collocation method for the numerical approximation of eigenvalues defined by the differential equations with variable coefficients. They lead to accurate numerical results through the use of a simple algorithm. Numerical results obtained by using the zeros of the appropriate Chebyshev and Legendre polynomials are reported. © 1988.
