Abstract
A novel compact microstrip bandpass filter using one equilateral triangular-patch resonator with a small cut is proposed. This filter has the advantages of compact size, low insertion loss in the passband, and sharp rejection in the stopband. Moreover, without coupling gaps, this novel bandpass filter can reduce uncertainty in fabrication. One transmission zero is realized in the low stopband. The theoretical and measured results are presented. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
