Abstract
For the first time, the idea of simultaneously using the dielectric resonator (DR) as the antenna and oscillator load, named as DRAO, is presented in this paper. The design procedure of the DRAO is discussed. For demonstration, the DRAO is designed at 1.85 GHz. The return loss, signal spectrum, and radiation patterns of the DRAO are presented. © 2006 IEEE.
