Abstract

We propose a novel design for low-loss wide-angle Y-branch structures, called truncated structural Y branch (TSYB), which is shown to have the lowest loss compared with some other proposed structures under wide-angle conditions. The advantage of this design is that it does not require the implementation of any sharp or abrupt feature. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
