Abstract

In this paper, we present a new control design method for nonlinear systems. In this method a set of control laws will be designed based on the linear models about some points of state space of nonlinear systems. The controller output will be the result of applying fuzzy logic theory to manipulate the given set of control laws. By this approach, we ensure the good performance as expected when the state space trajectory is around or about the points where linear models are based to find the control laws and the reasonable performance in other regions. This method can be applied to the nonlinear systems which is not feedback linearisation applicable. Some simulation results of a 4th order nonlinear system, ball and beam system, are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of this method.
