No Benign Landscapes

Abstract

Using a combination of methodologies from computer game and landscape studies, I present computer games as the paradigm landscapes of the 21st century. I argue that if we scrutinise computer game environments in this way, we can reveal important relationships between historical landscape narratives and present interactions with the physical environment
