Abstract
In this paper, a continuous time Markov chain model is introduced to study multi-product manufacturing systems with sequence-dependent setups, finite buffers, and cyclic scheduling policy. Analytical formulas to evaluate system throughput are developed, and system properties on setup time, buffer capacity, processing and arrival rates are investigated. © 2011 IEEE.
