Abstract
In megahertz wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, conventional magnetic field shielding methods become ineffective. To address this challenge, we propose a multi-layer frequency-selective surface design for shielding in the megahertz WPT system. This approach incorporates multiple FSS layers, where each layer is tuned to the fundamental or harmonic frequencies of the inverter. By blocking these frequencies, the proposed structure effectively shields the magnetic fields emitted by wireless power resonators. The finite element analysis and experimental results are provided for verifications. © 2026 IEEE.
