Abstract

A banded-matrix iterative method (BMIA) is used to study scattering of a TE incident wave from a perfectly conducting one dimensional random rough surface. Based on BMIA it is possible to study two-scale roughness with two correlation lengths that are many times different in size. Small-scale roughness, rather then large-scale roughness is found numerically to dominate bistatic scattering.
